Moraga is about 35 minutes from our Hayward yard by I-880 and CA-24, then down Moraga Road through the hills, with a second yard in South San Francisco. No marketplace, no subcontractor, no 20–40% broker margin between the group and the driver. Moraga Road and Canyon Road are two lanes with real switchbacks, and the driver assigned to your trip has run them before.

Distances are road miles from Saint Mary's College of California. Times are typical off-peak, allowing for the climb over from CA-24. These are runs we stage in Moraga through the school year.
| Trip | What it usually looks like | Miles | Drive | Best vehicle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Saint Mary's game-day and fan shuttlesMcKeon Pavilion, Saint Mary's Stadium, Orinda and Lafayette BART | Campus parking is finite and the road in is two lanes. Fan groups and alumni parties stage from BART or a Lafayette lot and get dropped at the pavilion door instead of walking in from Saint Mary's Road. | 4–8 | 12–20 min | 56-pax coach |
| Saint Mary's Chapel weddingsThe chapel and quad, Soda Center, Lafayette and Walnut Creek hotels | Guest loops from the hotel block over the hill to the chapel and back after the reception. The college has a designated drop near the main quad, and we use it rather than staging on the access road. | 5–12 | 15–25 min | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Commencement and parents weekend movesSaint Mary's Rd, Rheem Valley, Moraga Way, off-campus lots | Three days when every parking space in Moraga is claimed by ten in the morning. Continuous remote-lot laps are the only version of this that does not end with cars on residential streets. | 2–6 | varies | 69-pax double-decker |
| Campolindo High athletics and school travelCampolindo High, Moraga Rd staging, away games across the East Bay | League and playoff travel with bus staging on Moraga Road, on coaches with luggage bays and drivers who are our own employees in the DOT drug-and-alcohol program. | 5–120 | varies | 56-pax coach |
| Soda Center conferences and college eventsSoda Center, Moraga Commons, Rheem Valley Shopping Center | Multi-day academic conferences that need airport arrivals, an evening run into Lafayette or Walnut Creek and a departure at the end. One coach, one driver, one invoice. | 2–20 | varies | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Moraga Commons concerts and town eventsMoraga Commons Park, Moraga Way, Rheem Valley lots | Summer concert nights where the park lot fills before the first set. Short loops from Rheem Valley keep the neighborhood streets around the Commons passable for residents. | 1–3 | varies | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Oakland International (OAK) group transfersMoraga Way to CA-24, then I-580 and I-980 | Roughly 18 miles and half an hour, which is short enough that we can hold at the yard while a flight lands rather than charge for a coach circling the arrivals level. | 18 | 30 min | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Moraga to San Francisco evening runsCA-24 through the Caldecott, I-580 and the Bay Bridge | Thirty minutes to the city outside commute hours, which is why alumni dinners, theatre nights and team events in town usually run as a round trip with the driver waiting at the venue. | 25 | 35 min | 56-pax coach |

Most sites ranking for "charter bus Moraga" do not own a single vehicle. They resell operators like us and add a margin. Here is what changes when you skip that layer.
| Question | Umbrella Global Bus | Booking marketplace |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the vehicle? | We do. Titled, insured and maintained by Umbrella. | A third-party operator assigned after you pay, often unnamed until day-of. |
| Who is driving? | Our employee, in our DOT drug-and-alcohol program, known to our dispatch. | Whoever the assigned operator sends. |
| What is the price built from? | Our operator rate, itemized: hours, deadhead from South San Francisco, tolls, gratuity. | An operator's rate plus the platform's margin, typically 20–40%. |
| Who answers at 5:40 a.m. when the bus is late? | The dispatcher who assigned the driver, with the coach on GPS. | A call center that has to phone the operator. |
| Certificate of insurance for a venue or employer? | Issued by us, usually same business day. | Requested from the operator through the platform. |
| Can I track the bus? | Yes, a live tracking link for every trip. | Depends on the operator. |
Published ranges let you budget before you call. Your quote is itemized to the hour and the mile, and if the route needs a smaller vehicle to make the turns we say so before you book.
24-35 passenger minibus with driver. Chapel weddings, campus loops, town events and BART connections.
56-passenger motorcoach. Priced per itinerary because deadhead from our Hayward yard, tolls and return time drive the number.
Standing routes for Moraga campuses, schools and community programs. Monthly invoicing and net terms.
Always included: driver, fuel, standard insurance, live tracking. Quoted separately: tolls, parking, driver overnight on multi-day trips, gratuity if you choose to add it.
A half-day (5-hour) 24-35 passenger minibus in Moraga typically runs $550–$850 including driver. A 56-passenger motorcoach is quoted per itinerary, and the drive over from our Hayward yard through the Caldecott is about 35 minutes, shown on the quote as its own line.
Yes. Saint Mary's has a designated bus drop near the main quad and we run 56-passenger coaches in there regularly for teams and fan groups. The approach roads are two lanes and winding, so we assign drivers who have done the route rather than whoever is next on the board.
Yes, both. Team travel with luggage bays for away games, and fan or alumni shuttles from Lafayette and Orinda BART on home nights at McKeon Pavilion so the group is not competing with students for campus parking.
Continuous remote-lot laps, usually on a double-decker because each pass has to carry more people as the morning builds. Booking early matters here since the whole town is short of parking on those three days.
The operator. We own the buses, employ the drivers and run our own dispatch and shop out of South San Francisco and Hayward under CPUC TCP 0037963 and USDOT 3126263. Nothing is farmed out to another company and there is no marketplace margin on your rate.
Yes, usually the same business day, naming the college, the school district or the town as certificate holder. It comes from our own insurer because the vehicles and drivers are ours.
